Second entry to the Denver After Dark series. This one deals with Rusty, the oldest Wilson brother, who is a Denver Firefighter and Mr. July in the Firefighters pin-up calendar. He has a great life, enjoys his job and being the bachelor around town, with no strings attached. Why is he then having such a hard time with Victim’s Advocate Julie Lawrence? She appears untouched by his charm, even though they get along well.
As their jobs intersect, they begin to get closer. Julie assumes Rusty will fly away when he gets bored and move on to the next woman. Rusty is having a crisis, because he doesn’t want to move on. However, Julie has a secret and it endangers both of them. Rusty is hurt by the fact that Julie will not trust him with her secrets. It is almost too late when they both open up.
